ok... let me start by saying that i've
never heard any of her songs... save one.
in fact... i would find it much more easy
to distinguish her in a line-up rather
than have the ability to pick a song of
hers from a list....

but for some reason... she fascinates me.

perhaps i'm being a bit grand here, without trying.

i realize she's pop... but thats all i know.

i also know she was voted as the worst
female celebrity in regards to fashion sense (and this
is what i'm going to talk about).

but here's my point....
i don't go around on the internet and read
up on CA... (so my point is only limited
to what i chance upon through popup ads,
banners and shit like that)....

this girl is glam

i'm talking.... like a mix of 70s, 80s, 90s etc
all rolled into one (fashion).

i'm not too keen on trends in as far as
current celebrities or blah blah blah...
but i do notice fashion (for some reason).

though she's not very cute.... she has a
smashing way of expressing herself through
her 'look'... almost cher-like....
as if she just doesn't give a fuck what
people think of how she looks.

ok... i'll be frank... she's down-right scary.

i've always thought her look was pretentious trashy (since i don't see anything chic about it). courtney love has better 'trashy' fashion sense than her.

i've seen her newer, more goth look (or maybe that was for her video) and i think it looks better.

"Trash Chic" began with the early violent low-budget short films from Richard Kern. Very underground and ecclectic (and nearly impossible to locate when current) in the early-80's. If his films were sent thru the MPAA today, many would be borderline NC-17/XXX.

But that was the early-80's "Trash Chic". Since then, it's been pasteurized, homogenized and sanitized for general milquetoast public consumption. CA is the current "pop" version of what was 'underground' 20-years ago.
